hey, I don't know if I can post here, but I found this site a while ago, and a lot of you obviously know a lot about horses, so... I have a few questions.
I can ride with either a Western or English bridle, and either bareback or with a Western saddle, but i'd like to learn to ride English. With this information, I hope you can help me out.
1.what's the best breed or type (either one) of horse to start riding? 2.What kind of saddle should I start out with? 3.what type of bit/bridle should I use? and last, 4. do you know of any stables in Minnesota that I can take lessons from?

I forgot to add this above: I only know the basics of English riding (my sister taught me when I was four—almost nine years ago) but I'm 5'3” and I'd like to learn either Dressage or Show Jumping. I don't know if this changes anything...
